We begin with a convenient pick-up at your hotel in Cusco and a panoramic drive to the start of the hike. Along the way, an expert guide will share information about the geology, history, and culture of the area. You will enjoy spectacular landscapes and the majesty of the Ausangate snow-capped mountain, one of the highest peaks in Cusco.
The experience culminates with the exploration of the Seven Lakes, each with vibrant colors and unique beauty, offering a perfect environment to capture photographs and enjoy nature.
At the end of the day, we will take you back to your hotel in Cusco, leaving unforgettable memories in the heart of the Andes.
Pick-up Service:
- Schedule: Pick up between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m. directly at your accommodation.
- Office Option: If you prefer, you can join us at our office in Plaza Regocijo at 5:00 a.m.
Booking Information: When booking, please provide the name and address of your hotel or Airbnb. If you choose the pick-up option, please indicate this in your reservation. End of the Tour:
- Time and Place: Ends between 7:00 and 7:30 p.m. at Plaza Regocijo.
- Transfer Options: If you need to be dropped off at the airport or bus terminal, please let your guide know in advance.
Daily Departures and Reservations: We offer daily tours, which you can book online or at our office up until 9:00 p.m. the night before.
Group Details: Groups of 14 to 16 people, with a maximum of 18, guided by a bilingual professional.
Meals: Includes buffet breakfast and lunch, adapted to various dietary restrictions, just let us know in advance.
Free Luggage Storage: Store your luggage at our central office in Cusco, available from 7:00 a.m. and before the tour from 4:45 to 5:15 a.m.
Reservation Changes: You can modify your reservation or change to a similar tour at no cost until 7:00 p.m. the day before, by sending an email to booking@mendozatoursperu.com.
Cancellations and Refunds:
- Full Refund: Up to 24 hours before the tour.
- Partial Refund: Cancellations within 24 hours, but before 7:00 p.m. the day before, will receive 50%.
- No Refund: Cancellations after 7:00 p.m. the previous day are not eligible.

- TRIP ITINERARY
Day 1: Cusco – Tinki – Ausangate 7 Lakes – Cusco
- Start your adventure with pickup from your accommodation in Cusco between 4:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.
- We will embark on a two-hour journey to the village of Tinki.
- From Tinki, we will continue driving for about another hour to reach the starting point of our hike, where we will enjoy breakfast.
- After breakfast, we will begin our hike, with a gentle climb for about an hour and a half until we reach the first lake.
- From this point, the remaining six lakes will be easily accessible as the terrain becomes mostly flat or downhill.
- You will have plenty of time to capture stunning photographs of the surrounding lakes and glaciers.
- After our hike, we will enjoy a delicious lunch and relax with a soothing bath in the hot springs, all while admiring the stunning view of Ausangate.
- Finally, we will begin the return trip to Cusco, which will take us approximately three hours.

Our prices for the Ausangate – 7 Lagoons Full Day Tour are reasonable and consistent, whether you book online or directly at our office in Cusco. We always maintain the same price and ensure the highest quality service.
HORSE RENTAL FOR RIDING
Locals offer horse rentals during the Full Day Ausangate – 7 Lakes Tour. If you need a horse at the tour checkpoint, you can rent one directly from the locals with the help of your tour guide. They usually charge between 70 and 90 soles (around 20 to 25 USD) for the trip up the mountain, which includes a person to guide the horse. You only need to sit on the horse. If you also want a horse for the return trip, it will cost an additional 40 to 60 soles (around 10 to 17 USD).
Horse rental prices may vary depending on the demand of the day. Sometimes prices increase when there are a lot of people visiting the Ausangate – 7 Lakes Full Day Tour. However, at other times, locals may offer lower prices. Remember to bargain with the friendly locals and keep in mind that they only accept Peruvian soles as payment.
Tips: Treat horses with kindness and respect, and choose a tour operator that prioritizes the welfare of their animals.
