Tour of the Southern Valley of Cusco
Immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes and extraordinary archaeological sites of the South Valley, located just outside of Cusco. This tour offers you the opportunity to witness the intricate blend of Andean culture and Spanish influences in the region.

Our tour begins at the Church of San Pedro in Andahuaylillas, also known as the “Sistine Chapel of America.” This architectural gem is recognized for its impressive religious murals, exquisite baroque paintings, gilded frames, and anonymous works from the Cusco School that captivate visitors with their artistic excellence.

We will then head to Pikillacta, where you will marvel at the sophisticated urban planning of an ancient society. With over a thousand structures, including temples, colcas (storage buildings) and multi-story residential buildings, this Wari culture site reflects an advanced civilization.

Finally we will arrive at Tipón, an extraordinary Water Temple. Here you will discover a marvel of ancient engineering: an intricate system of hydraulic canals carefully designed for agricultural irrigation.

This six-hour tour typically runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and offers a fascinating insight into the rich heritage and stunning landscapes of the South Valley.
