Discover the majesty of the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world, on a full-day tour from Arequipa or Chivay. We’ll start early to make the most of the day, traveling through beautiful Andean landscapes and picturesque traditional villages.
The first stop will be at the famous Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, where you will have the opportunity to see the majestic Andean condor in its natural habitat, flying over the impressive canyon. Along the way, we will make stops at strategic viewpoints that offer panoramic views of the canyon and the Colca Valley, along with ancient agricultural terraces still used by local communities.
We will visit traditional villages such as Maca and Yanque, where you will be able to learn about colonial architecture, local markets and regional customs. In addition, you will have the option to relax in the hot springs of La Calera (optional) to enjoy a relaxing bath surrounded by mountains.

- TRIP ITINERARY
Itinerary: Full day tour to Colca Canyon
- Departure Time: 2:45 AM, with pick up at your hotel in Arequipa.
- Route: Travel to Chivay along the Chachani volcano (3.5 hours drive).
- Breakfast in Chivay: Upon arrival, breakfast in the village.
- Mirador de la Cruz del Cóndor: Observation of the flight of the condors and panoramic views of the Colca Canyon (1,200 m deep) at 3,500 m above sea level.
- Time at the Mirador: 2 hours to enjoy the landscape and observe condors.
- Return Stops: Visits to Pinchollo (Hanging Tombs), Antahuilque Viewpoint, towns of Maca, Achoma and Yanque.
- Hot Springs: Option to relax in the La Calera Hot Springs.
- Lunch in Chivay: Lunch at a local restaurant.
- Return to Arequipa: With stops in Patapampa, Alto Sumbay and Reserva Salinas and Aguada Blanca to see vicuñas.
- Arrival Time: Approximately 5:00 PM in Arequipa.

Stay hydrated throughout the hike, especially because of the altitude. Bring a reusable water bottle that you can refill. -
Snacks:Bring light snacks like energy bars, nuts or dried fruit to keep your energy up while you explore.

It is advisable to travel light, taking only what is necessary for the trip. Make sure to check the weather forecast to be prepared for the weather conditions.

Online booking fee: 2.9% additional, payable by the client.

- Cards: 3.9% commission, borne by the client.

Cancellations by the agency
If we cancel the tour due to weather or political reasons, 100% of the cost will be refunded.

Changes are free of charge until 7pm the day before.

- Full refund: if you cancel up to 24 hours before the tour.
- 50% refund: If you cancel within 24 hours but before 7 p.m. from the previous day.
