Day 1: CUSCO - SAYWITE - CAPULIYOC - CHIKISKA

We started our second day early with a hearty breakfast in Chikiska, preparing ourselves for the challenging hike ahead.

Morning walk:

The first part of the day consists of a gentle descent of approximately 1 hour until reaching Playa Rosalina, located on the banks of the Apurímac River. . Late

Upon arrival at Marampata we will enjoy a well-deserved lunch and we will have the rest of the afternoon to relax and recover from the demanding climb. This village offers an excellent viewpoint to enjoy the surrounding landscape, with the ruins of Choquequirao visible in the distance, increasing the anticipation for the next day’s exploration.

In the evening a nutritious dinner will be served and we will spend the night in Marampata, preparing for our journey deeper into the heart of Choquequirao the next day.
